Mainstream affiliate programs paying 30 days in arrears?

I really hate this about a lot of mainstream sponsors...
example: a cool "free screensaver" sponsor I wanted to use pays 30 days in arrears, so all signups from August 1-August 31st, pays out Setpember 30th.

It's going to take some time to get used to this mainstream stuff...

Some sponsors still pay in quarters ... lol, no, I don't mean 25cent pieces (though nothing would shock me nowadays!) ... I mean every three months. And some of the $1 lead companies don't pay until you have a $100 minimum. rant

yes ok that does suck, but being that we all know just how far webmasters will go to scam an affiliate program, do you blame them?

not all industry's have fraud protection like we are used to big grin

Dravyk, yup, I'm aware of the quarterly guys

cj, sometimes true, other times I don't think they even really know how to run an affiliate program....they do it becuase they think they have to..or they are used to everything being net 30 ;-)

affiliate programs and affiliates will both try to get away with whatever they think they can ....

if i thought affiliates would accept 30 days delay, i'd do that too

Just did not want to spam it. smile

We private label, drop ship and do private deals on our jigsaw puzzle Cd's. We even pay 50% of sales. smile Now that commission rate is not heard of in mainstream for a physical product that is shipped. smile Plus you get 50% of all reorders for life! And yes we get many reorders from customers. It's a popular gift item.

Yup...Adsense pays 30 days in arrears too. It didn't always use to be that way but can't say as it has bothered me all that much.
