Welcome to Mainstream Webmasters!
Here is what you might call our "Mission Statement", where we say what it is about us that might set us apart from other places, what slant or dynamic we take that helps define what we are all about and what this place is about.
Unashamedly, unabashedly, at the get-go, I would like to say that we are about ... profit!
Yes, that's right. Making money. For ourselves, for you, for each other. And that is what you should be about as well.
Are you on the web to make sites? Or are you making sites to make money? Then, talk about that then -- Making Money is what you do. If you make sites, then they are not what you do ... they are the means to your end.
Mind you, there's plenty of other ways to make money than just sites, but that's left to the articles, resources and forum discussions for you to talk about or figure out.
What this resource and these forums are about is ECOMMERCE. Business on the Internet. Business on a world wide level. The key word is Business.
Yes we certainly do run and certainly do take advertising. Yes you better have a sig in your posts that promotes yourself and is commercial in nature and hopefully makes you money! That is what it's all about.
If you are a hobbiest, if you make pretty sites for the sake of pretty sites, if you "pretend" you have a business, as opposed to knowing you have a business and running it like a business -- then you will no doubt want to go elsewhere -- with all of the other poor people moaning they don't make money either. Misery loves company we understand.
But if you are making money or if you have the fervent desire and drive to make money or to make more money ... then you came to right place!
Participate, learn from others, share what you know, experiment, discuss, and profit!!

Now where is One&Only with their $1.50 blind email signup :-D
On an unrelated issue.... These table rows with the link is kinda annoying,
unless maybe you change the mouse cursor icon. I keep clicking back in
this window to get focus and end up in some thread or forum or other
page I wasn't actually looking at.
