Has anyone had any success with storefronts? I tried a couple of the VStores but didn't do much business.

I think you might be right there. What about a combination of online/offline? I do like the idea of selling online with a partner offline finding and setting up the actual products.. I know people who do all kinds of buying in Asia. They go to the trade shows in Taiwan and Singapore every year. I would like to partner with them in some way still to be worked out.

i love merchandise, but its just difficult to specialize in so many different areas ... products are a whole different ball game to what I'm good at working with!! I always get a good response offline to our merchandise though ... so one day i hope to go that direction.

has anyone tried cafepress or had any luck selling cafepress goods? i've set up a few stores recently but nobody seems to visit or purchase from there ...

I signed up for it but could never figure where and how best to use it. I might try it on my Tower of London Tour site..maybe have some snazzy fun slogan t-shirts about the Tower. I think it might work well on my Kids tour where I could do some Rascal Raven shirts. He's the kid raven tour giude there smile

You shoudl look into dropshippers. I have been doing a ton of research lately and if you find the right items, it might be worth some extra coin.

Hey Electra,

Don't feel bad about not selling from Vstores. I have never heard of anyone doing any good with them.

But storefronts can work. I have found it's best to make them on separate domains and put links to your storefront on all of your other sites.

Be careful with gettting into drop shipping. It's nothing like affiliate sales. You are responsible for customer service, delivery problems, billing problems, etc with drop shipping. With affiliate sales, you refer the sale and the sponsor does all of that for you. There is money to be made in drop shipping, but there are problems too. Just be sure you are prepared to accept them.

Good Luck!

Ken

Thanks for the tip Ken. Drop shipping canbe as you pointed out, full of potholes. I think webmasters need to do their rersearch carefully first before jumping in. Lots to consider. smile
